THE SIREN - SOLD OUT

  • Why do mermaids need to be young? Perhaps they are tired, worn out middle aged beauties, luring men to their watery depths as punishment for never doing the washing or picking up the kids from school.

This design was inspired by Cornish legend ‘The Mermaid of Zennor’ - a tale of a mermaid who fell in love with a young man from Zennor named 'Matthew Trewhella'. The mermaid was bewitched by his singing voice, and he by her beauty.

Screenprint (with a gold ink sun printed by linocut).

  • Courier Delivery
I will reply to your enquiry within the same day that you contact me, and aim to post your print within two working days of invoice payment. I use Evri courier service, and although I cannot personally guarantee a delivery date, you will receive a tracking number to follow delivery progress.

For peace of mind, your print will also require a signature upon delivery (maximum 3 attempts to deliver). If your artwork is returned to me after these three attempts I will automatically refund you, but if you wish me to resend the print you will need to pay the shipping costs again.

If you don’t want your order to be ‘signed for’ please inform me upon enquiry. However, I would recommend that you use the signed for option in case your package goes missing and you need to make a claim against Evri.

    Studio Collection
If you want to collect your print from my studio then we can arrange a time and date that suits us both and I will send you directions.

  • Delivery by courier:
Your print is sealed in a cellophane sleeve, which I sandwich between two sturdy 3000mic (3mm) boards (no cheap postal tubes as they get squashed!). This means my packaging and delivery costs are not the cheapest, but gives your print the best chance of arriving in perfect condition. Read my blog for more detail on how your order is packaged.

    Collection:
If you collect your print from my studio then artwork will be backed onto cardboard, encased in a cellophane sleeve and packaged into a brown kraft bag.

  • Changed your mind?
I hope that you love your print, but if you change your mind you can return it and I will refund your original payment.

If you wish to make a return please inform me within 3 working days of receiving your order. You must return your print within 7 working days of my response to your email. I will reimburse you within 7 working days of the item being returned to me.

The print must be packaged securely in the original packaging - if it goes missing or is not returned in its original condition a refund will not be issued.

Please note I will not reimburse your return shippings costs.

    Delivery damage?
I take great care to make sure your print is packaged securely, but as couriers don’t always handle packages carefully, there is a small risk of damage.

If your print does arrive damaged please take a photo and contact me within 7 working days of your print arriving. I will either send you a replacement print (if there are any available) or issue you a full refund. Please note that refunds will not be issued if you contact me later than 7 working days of your print arriving.

Please do not send damaged artwork back to me as I do not reimburse return postal costs - only the original amount on your invoice.

    Delivery gone missing?

I can happily say that to date I’ve never had a print go missing during shipping! However, if your print has not arrived after 7 working days since you received the dispatch email confirmation from Evri, please contact them with your item number. I’m afraid that I cannot accept responsibility in the event that your print does not arrive and I will not be able to issue you a refund. This is Evri’s responsibility.
